Democracy is in danger in its cradle.
The Greek government's spyware surveillance of journalists and opposition leaders like @androulakisnick is completely unacceptable and undermines trust in democratic institutions.
We demand full transparency from the Greek government.

I strongly condemn detention of Austrian journalist Max Zirngast today in #Turkey. He was reportedly arrested on terror- related charges for articles he had written. Journalists must not be prosecuted because of their professional work. I urge authorities to release him.
