Expert Midden-Oosten, en daar ook woonachtig, doet onderzoek naar affaire-Khashoggi. Hij vertelt me dat Khashoggi "een islamist van de eerste orde is, die sympathiseert met de Moslimbroeders en nauwe contacten onderhield met wijlen Osama bin Laden, bepaald geen frisse figuur".

As the procedures on POL and HU are of similar weight, and as the Commission is present in @EUCouncil at every step in the RoL procedure on #Poland, what could be more logical than to let the @EuropeanParl introduce its report on RoL in #Hungary to the ministers? 2/2

Of course the @EUCouncil should have a thorough process on the #ruleoflaw in #Hungary. So did the EP before it voted my #art7 procedure, but Council should keep in mind that the Treaty knows no hierarchy on which institution starts the process, EC op EP. 1/2
