We don’t lose time! The COVID-19 Certificate was adopted last week by the #EPlenary. Today we are starting negotiations with the @EU_Commission & @EUCouncil. The @EPPGroup wants to introduce it as quickly as possible and make travel possible again in a safe and responsible way!

Dit Pakistaanse echtpaar heeft die straf opgelegd gekregen en is in hoger beroep gegaan. En zo zijn er helaas nog honderden in dat land

Good that Fidesz is no longer in @EPPGroup, but it took too long. Still several of Orbán’s allies remain. EPP has to start reflecting: do they want to go down the same path as the US Republicans, or will they clean up their house and remain a responsible centrist party?

What a journey. In the 90-ies, Orban set out to fight authoritarianism. In 2000 he left the liberals and joined @EPPGroup. In 2021 he leaves again, to the extremist right. He has become what he set out to defeat.

Het heeft ons maanden gekost om dit op de plenaire agenda te krijgen, wegens gebrek aan steun / prioriteit bij andere fracties. Het onderwerp lijkt misschien klein maar is zo belangrijk voor doven en slechthorenden. Trots dat de @EPPGroup hierin het voortouw neemt!

Ook voor biologische landbouwsector dus geen onverdeeld succes. Vandaar mijn vragen om verdienmodel.

Dat dit weerstand oproept bij bobo's en beleggers, blijkt wel uit de lobby vd de afgelopen weken tegen het voorstel. Helaas heeft de @EPPGroup zijn oren naar die lobby laten hangen, en op het laatste moment de steun voor dit voorstel ingetrokken. /5

On the outside @EPPGroup still looks like the respectable, mainstream conservative party it used to be. But the decay is spreading freely on the inside. It has become a vehicle for power and cynical calculation. Values and convictions have left the building.
