D-Day!

Om 15h verwachten we de grootste wetgeving voor onze online wereld sinds 2000: de Digital Services Act (#DSA) en Digital Markets Act (#DMA).

Nog ruim voor Facebook, Twitter & Airbnb het levenslicht zagen werd de wetgeving voor het laatst aangepast. Tijd voor een update!

In 5 days, the EU Commission will present its DMA-proposals to attack digital monopolies. If limited to ex-ante measures, Europe might be lagging behind...

Let's remind ourselves. Came across this article again: even the IMF suggests tax redistribution to reduce debt after the recovery: wealth tax, high-end property tax, digital tax, capital gains tax and fighting tax avoidance.

Only 5 of Europe’s GDPR enforcers have more than 10;
the Dutch @toezicht_AP only has 4

We need to enable our DPA’s. Otherwise, we cannot expect real oversight of GDPR and the Digital Services Act.

Goede aflevering #zondagmetlubach Digitale bedrijven proberen door zo goedkoop mogelijk te zijn monopolie te krijgen. Platformwerkers zijn hier ook keihard de dupe van. Een eerlijke markt zonder uitbuiting van werknemers. Dát is voor mij "a Europe fit for the digital age".

We cannot allow that the US 🇺🇸 seek to stop us taxing tech giants. A Digital Services Tax is key to ensure all pay their fair share.
The EU 🇪🇺 should stay united behind France 🇫🇷 during this American assault - to defend our sovereignty.
