Eens met Caroline. Luister naar de Nederlandse vrouwen in de ECON commissie. Als je een kandidaat vindt die capabel is, sterk op green finance en een track record heeft om meer vrouwen in het bankwezen te krijgen, dan steun je die. Dat het is man is, daar kan hij niks aan doen.

Het was afgelopen weken flink onderhandelen maar gisteren is het Europees Parlement akkoord gegaan met een tijdelijke aanpassing van de kapitaaleisen voor banken. Zo houden bedrijven toegang tot financiering in deze economisch lastige tijd. En dat is nodig!

Finance ministers struck a deal; cliff avoided. For now. We cannot keep the EU together with fudge and scotch tape. The risk for the EU is not a sudden explosion, but slow erosion. Time for national political leaders to speak up for Europe.

@joelbasson Regulation is about what can be called a sustainable finance. Nuclear was not out as option anyhow. We just need safeguards on long-term waste disposal effects. That was already in the initial deal. Let's see what France wants more.

Ontwikkelingssamenwerking is vaak leren door 'trial & error'.

@WybrenvanHaga @IngridCoenen @ODIdev Het zou goed zijn als we meer te weten komen over impact instrumenten als DGGF op lokaal bedrijfsleven in ontwikkelingslanden. Als die positief is, dan zeg ik ja. Studie @ODIdev zou aanleiding kunnen zijn om ook eens wat scherper naar NL blended finance instrumenten te kijken.
