+1Following this @EUombudsman decision, confirming my concerns, I wrote a letter👇to @vonderleyen @MargSchinas and @JuttaUrpilainen about how they will now make sure the #FoRB Special Envoy is truly inclusive of all human rights. Will we @Europarl_EN be able to hear the candidates?

When EU promotes freedom of religion and belief #FoRB it should be inclusive and thus also protect non-believers. Associating mainly with ultra conservative Christians undermines EU human rights commitments. I wrote @JuttaUrpilainen to insist on this, together with colleagues👇

In the discussion on Freedom of Religion or Belief a key-question is: “How much can the tolerant tolerate?” ,according to moderator Norman Vasu and @ahmedshaheed .Keep this in mind, this is indeed - not only in FoRB-issues - a crucial matter
