+1In 2021 Hungary introduced its anti-LGBTI law. Finally the EU Commission is taking action by bringing Hungary to court.

Together with my colleagues I'm calling on all EU-countries to join this case. To show Orbán that there's no space for hate and discrimination in the EU.

The Netherlands, Portugal, Luxembourg and Belgium have already joined the case. Now we need you to convince your government to join the case.

All we want as LGBTI+ community is equality.

But it's still not possible for same-sex couples to be recognized as parents when moving between certain EU-countries.

I urge the Commission to take action to ensure equality and to get children out of this administrative limbo.

@Paulslettenhaar Ja en? En dan maar voor lief nemen dat er geen scheiding is van machten, er lgbti vrije zones zijn en zelfbeschikking van vrouwen ernstig teniet wordt gedaan terwijl ze gewoon gehouden zijn de buitengrenzen te beschermen.

13 Europese landen spreken zich uit tegen de anti-lhbtqi+-wet in Hongarije. Goed dat Benelux hier het voortouw in neemt. Nu hopen dat nog meer landen zich aansluiten en de @EU_Commission eindelijk actie onderneemt. #LGBTI #Hungary

Met de EP's @LGBTIintergroup hebben we Hongarije 's anti-LGBTI wet op de agenda van de plenaire gezet om de Commissie te vragen hoe ze zullen gaan ingrijpen.

Hongarije handelt in strijd met fundamentele rechten uit het EU-verdrag. Dit kan niet getolereerd worden in de EU.

The European Parliament has recently given the Commission an ultimatum to use its powers to sanction governments violating EU values financially. We just heard the story of @adriancoman and Clai.

They were courageous to bring their case of discrimination to the @EUCourtPress and they won.

A win for all #LGBTI people in Europe, IF all Member States fully apply this judgement.

The marginalisation of LGBTI people in several Member States goes hand in hand with a real threat to health. Some authorities choose not to give priority to PrEP access, this is inexcusable.

@martijnhenrico Hi Martijn! I think we need to start monitoring LGBTI rights in the Commission's (new) annual Rule of Law reports. Then we need the Council to adopt the proposed Rule of Law Mechanism and link the two - so we can stop EU money flowing to governments who preach exclusion & hatred.
