Unbelievably shameless and just plain wrong.

The Georgian 🇬🇪 leadership would do well to stop parroting Kremlin lies. Absolutely nobody in the European Parliament wants to drag Georgia into war.

The one thing we want: real progress on Georgia’s EU 🇪🇺 path.

I congratulate the courageous Georgian people who forced a 2nd-reading Parliament vote against the Russian-style foreign agent laws.

A victory for the Georgian people! But the struggle goes on.

Georgia’s EU path is not yet safe. Stay focused. 🇬🇪 is 🇪🇺.

Don’t celebrate yet.

The 🇬🇪 leadership’s announcement that it will ‘withdraw’ its Russian-style foreign agent law is meaningless. Laws adopted in first reading cannot be withdrawn.

Georgian Dream: don’t ‘explain’ the law. Vote it down in second reading. ASAP.

Members of the European Parliament from across the political spectrum condemn Georgia’s Russian-style foreign agent law as “incompatible with EU values” and “seriously jeopardising Georgia’s European path”.

Georgia 🇬🇪 is Europe 🇪🇺. Not Russia.

Bravely waving the 🇪🇺 flag. Georgia’s leadership should take a cue.

Today’s adoption of the Russian-style foreign agent law is a vote against Georgia’s EU perspective, against democracy, and against the country’s own citizens. Georgia 🇬🇪 is Europe 🇪🇺.

Georgia’s 🇬🇪 leadership is putting the European future that its people demand at grave risk.

The choice is simple.

Parliament must drop its Russian-style draft law on foreign agents and, instead, make serious progress towards EU candidacy. Georgia is Europe.
