When will @EU_Commission learn from past mistakes? Stop governments from breaking the rules by taking action, before it is too late!
As @EP_Justice says, the Commission's annual rule of law report must be more effective. In 2022, we want binding and enforceable recommendations.

Question is who is behind this? There's been documented use of spyware by gov's in 🇭🇺&🇵🇱, which are both in rule of law battles with 🇪🇺. But officials remaining tight-lipped.

Weer iets geleerd. Je kunt dus blijkbaar €7.000.000 besparen door gewoon je mailbox een week niet te checken.
Van uitstel komt in dit geval geen afstel en ook Polen kan de realiteit gelukkig niet langer dan 7 dagen negeren. #RuleOfLaw

Poland is reportedly delaying payment of its €1 million daily fines imposed by the ECJ by not opening the electronic message informing of the decision.

Sad it’s come to this - but glad it’s happening. This week’s comments by the Polish PM made even more clear how urgent enforcing the #ruleoflaw is through our EU mechanism. Commission *must* now act and to ensure this, @sassoli is following our call for a court case. (@EP_Legal)

EU states that violate the rule of law should not receive EU funds. We have a mechanism for this but the @EU_Commission is failing to use it.
I have therefore asked our services to prepare a lawsuit against the Commission to ensure rules are enforced. eptwitter.eu/q32Q

Het Poolse recht weegt zwaarder dan het Europese, was twee weken geleden het oordeel van het Poolse Constitutionele Hof. Vandaag debatteerde premier Morawiecki met het Europees Parlement over de uitspraak, die een bom legt onder de basisprincipes van de EU. #Nieuwsuur
