Absoluut gezien is Nederland nummer zes van alle 27 EU-lidstaten. Bovenaan de lijst met de meeste verstedelijking of ‘ruimtebeslag’ in hectaren staan achtereenvolgens Spanje, Cyprus, Ierland, Estland en Portugal. Afgezien van Spanje allemaal kleine landen dus.

Cyprus acting as the #spyware export hub for Israel, and Greece as its training centre. Surveillance tools sold from Europe to oppressive regimes in gross violation of EU law, but @EU_Commission persists in 🙈🙉🙊. Its inertia amounts to complicity in human rights violations.

The Greek authorities must investigate without delay the very alarming allegations, and associate @Europol. All evidence must be secured and examined, in Greece, Cyprus and beyond. No stone must be left unturned.

Eerste stop Cyprus. Afgezien van spionage zelf is Cyprus ook doorvoerland van de o.a. in Israël ontwikkelde software en zijn er inmiddels meerdere bedrijven die vergelijkbare software ontwikkelen en erin handelen.

Daarnaast hebben een aantal landen helemaal géén #minimumloon, zoals Cyprus, Denemarken, Italië, Finland, Oostenrijk en Zweden.

In deze landen onderhandelen vakbonden een #CAO, maar lang niet iedere werknemer valt daaronder. Daarom moeten we Europees actie ondernemen. (4/4)

In haar Staat vd Unie heeft @vonderleyen een ambitieuze agenda neergezet: klimaatambitie, EU minimumloon, meer samenwerking op gezondheid, focus op buitenlands beleid zonder nationale veto’s (zoals nu Cyprus bij Belarus), strijd tegen racisme. Zuinig op migratie en rechtstaat.
