Good that there’s an EU Public Prosecutor to look into fraud and corruption with EU funds.

But the two countries, Hungary and Poland, where we know for a fact that corruption with EU money is booming, are not part of #EPPO 🤔

While we eagerly await the new EU asylum & migration Pact we often overlook this: do EU countries actually commit enough capacity to implement current rules? Such as: enough staff for good procedures & decent reception centres? Sorry @EU_Commission, some homework for the summer👇

Ook in NL een probleem: lange wachttijden door capaciteitsgebrek. Er is zelfs uitzonderlijk protest van asielzoekers die eindelijk hun procedure willen starten. De @EU_Commission moet erop toezien dat lidstaten capaciteit hebben voor asielaanvragen, dat is hun wettelijke plicht

The #IstanbulConvention is not only being blocked now by some member states but also extremely undermined. This is disrespectful and it violates women’s rights. This latest development shows we can never take women’s rights for granted. It has to stop 🛑
