.@EUCouncil wil een achterdeur inbouwen in end-to-end-encryptie, wat er nu voor zorgt dat niemand jouw berichten mee kan lezen op bv. Whatsapp. Achterdeur in encryptie= geen encryptie = geen privacy online. En ondermijning van EU als koploper op het gebied van data-privacy.

The importance of data collection and #gendermainstreaming of our trade agreements was highlighted by the speakers. We truly need to design all our policies with a gender lens. @RenewEurope will lead the charge on this.

Nederland vol met windturbines van Zweedse energiereus, mede gefinancierd met honderden miljoenen van UW belastinggeld, alle stroom gaat naar Amerikaanse multinationals, voor data opslag van Afrika. Nauwelijks banen, geen belastinginkomsten, polders om zeep geholpen. #Wiebes #VVD

Personal data of Accidental Americans are transferred to the US because of national govs implementing extraterritorial US #FATCA. Does @EU_Commission consider this to be in line with #GDPR? My questions↘️

De hoge cijfers van het aantal besmettingen wordt veroorzaakt doordat de PCR test 'dood virus' meet.

Terug naar normaal en zeker geen #Spoedwet.

Facebook mag Europese gebruikersdata niet meer versturen naar de VS. En terecht. In Europa hebben we een stuk strengere regels wb #privacy, dus onze data heeft daar niks te zoeken.

According to Facebook, The Irish DPA is doing so. Well done! But we’re not there yet...

Because, Facebook seems to react obediently, but it is merely a smoke curtain for using standard contract clauses. There is no legal basis for any data-sharing across the Atlantic. Try again @nick_clegg

Nee, de 45e #hittegolf sinds 1901.

#KNMI heeft in 2016, 16 hittegolven van voor 1950 laten verdwijnen na gegoochel met data. Ze noemen dat #homogenisatie. Daarmee lijkt hittegolven iets van de laatste tijd maar dat is het dus niet. No worry, enjoy🌞.

@grahamgreenleaf @SophieKwasny @SophieintVeld I’m a big supporter of C108+. However, it doesn’t solve the challenge of government access to data for national security purposes. A real solution for that issue would need a separate global treaty, including safeguards.

Does the Commission still believe the #UmbrellaAgreement is watertight after invalidation #PrivacyShield?

The use of biometric data, especially in the case of minors, is highly sensitive, since it’s not replaceable. I’m therefore really glad @EP_Justice voted Tuesday in favour of my proposal to ban the use of biometric recognition for educational purposes and in educational premises

That is why I’ve asked the @EU_Commission for a Gender Impact Assessment, together with my @RenewEurope @EP_GenderEqual colleagues. We need sufficient data, gender sensitive policies and targeted solutions.

Data gaat eenvoudig de grens over, dus aanpak ook grensoverschrijdend afstemmen!

Jammer dat linkse fracties in @EPinNL daar deze week niet over wilden debatteren....

En voor degenen die meteen aanslaan op een constructieve tweet over de EU en de data in twijfel trekken, hierbij de cijfers per miljoen inwoners. VS is not flattening the curve (in tegenstelling tot EU).

Na veel (deels terechte) kritiek op verschillen in de aanpak van #Covid_19 tussen de lidstaten van de EU kun je toch wel zeggen dat de verschillen in de EU (muv Zweden) minder groot zijn dan tussen en in de staten van de VS. Het resultaat is in de EU dan ook beter.

Data protection stands with strong oversight. @EU_Commission is pretty clear: member states need to take responsibility in funding their DPA’a and the age differentiation on data consent should be harmonised. Couldn’t agree more. What about you @ferdgrapperhaus?

Europe has the best personal data protection in the world... on paper.

Annoyingly, member states refuse to properly fund data protection authorities. As a result, you stand virtually alone against data hungry tech giants (and governments).

Victory! 🎉 The highest court of Germany decided that @Facebook isn’t allowed to combine the data sets of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, without consent.

Let’s now make it impossible everywhere.
