@CEJJacobs @EURACTIV Het was op het eind van de onderhandelingen damage controle. Helaas durfden te weinig landen de Poolse toorn te trotseren. Dus we hebben het meeste weten tegen te houden. De ontsnappingsclausule was de prijs....

Blij dat ons ENVI-compromis met @peterliese KH Florenz @CDU_CSU_EP deze week geleid heeft tot ons eerdere onderhandelingsvoorstel 37,5% CO2-reductie. Goed voor duidelijkheid autoindustrie, toeleveranciers en klimaat, alle sectoren gelijk op. Ook de heilige koe!
CO2-normen voor auto’s worden fors strenger. De autosector zal zich moeten aanpassen. nrc.nl/nieuws/2018/12…

Guy Verhofstadt is de auteur van het plan van het Europees parlement om asielaanvragen op de Europese ambassades wereldwijd toe te staan. Breek elke grens af en zal pure chaos zijn. Zwitserland heeft het ooit gedaan. Na 6 maanden moeten stoppen want totale ramp.

Laatste dagen van Oostenrijks voorzitterschap levert nog wat deals op: op energiegebied (euractiv.com/section/electr…) en bij plastics (nu.nl/klimaat/563900…). Dit beide na onderhandelingen tussen EP en EU-landen. Gisteren ook al CO2- standaarden voor auto's.

Vraag me af welke concrete werkzaamheden de Nederlandse defensievertegenwoordiger op onze ambassade in Teheran precies verricht. Samenwerking terreurbestrijding met Iran in regio

@FredvanderHam2 @cdaeuropa @EPinNL @VDombrovskis Het idee is juist dat banken zelf voorzieningen moeten treffen (reserves aanhouden) voor slechte leningen, zodat deze leningen niet tot een (dreigend) faillissement van een bank, waarbij de overheid (en dus de belastingbetaler) vaak bijspringt. Precies het omgekeerde dus
