The EU did manage to create some oxygen in a tense escalation. Let’s hope the working group will lead to results, but steel and aluminum tariffs, justified by ‘national security’ must go for the aliance to be meaningful (among other things) twitter.com/marietjeschaak…

If #Juncker did not get hard agreement from #Trump on removing the unjust steel & aluminum #tariffs then he did not achieve his goal. EU has put de-escalation and mutual benefit of good trade relation first, always, but today’s concession could set dangerous precedent #trade

@vincente It’s all about setting the right CO2 targets for 2025 & 2030. EP wants high ambition. Gaiming by industry proves that high ambition is possible & necessary.

@bartroovers81 @EUombudsman Wat mij betreft wel. Eerder nam het EP al aanbevelingen van mij over waarin de schimmige positie waarin Barroso verkeert, aan de kaak werd gesteld. Via de begrotingscontrole (die dit najaar begint), ga ik natuurlijk door met het ondervragen van de Commissie. We laten nooit los.

Weet U nog van Barroso die adviseur bij Goldman Sachs werd en daarna ontmoetingen had met Eurocommissarissen? Was geen lobbyen, vond Commissie. Maar @EUombudsman constateerde wanbeleid. Moedige Eu. ambtenaren maken gehakt van reactie Commissie Juncker: drive.google.com/file/d/1mcdy97…
