The Commission is well aware of the - irreparable - damage it is doing to the fabric of the European rule of law. Some within the Commission have even said the quiet part out loud; everyone can see the emperor has no clothes.

In the LIBE Committee, the Commission remains very vague on how it will assess Polish governments’ compliance with rule of law. This feeds our concerns that the money will flow without assurances on independence of judges and primacy of EU law. Disastrous for Polish society.

De CER werkt aan een verbetering van het online bestellen van kaartjes. Belangrijk. Maar nog belangrijker: een HSL-netwerk dat de Europese hoofdsteden verbindt. Dit is goed voor iedereen met het oog op de groei van het aantal reizigers, de veiligheid en de verbinding tussen EU👩🏼‍💼!

Nu debat met @PaoloGentiloni over de miljarden uit het herstelfonds.

Veel -terecht- kritische vragen vanuit het EP. Amper antwoorden vanuit de @EU_Commission.

Lijkt erop dat EC straks gewoon bij het kruisje tekent, ondanks dat Polen alleen cosmetische hervormingen doet.

Ik steun de boeren. Deze regering voert een stikstofbeleid welke alle redelijkheid en billijkheid mist. Wat mij betreft, is dit stikstofbeleid onrechtmatig.

The evasive answers of @PaoloGentiloni to @EP_Justice make it crystal clear that the @EU_Commission has absolutely no intention to insist on compliance with #CJEU rulings as condition for EU funding. It fails scandalously as guardian of the Treaties and betrays the EU values
