The message of @Europarl_EN is crystal clear. First we need meaningful improvements in 🇹🇷: respect for human rights, democracy and rule of law. Only then can we discuss further steps. I hope @EUCouncil is listening.

Als PCR testen verplicht zijn om te reizen in de EU, moeten ze gratis zijn. Daar dringt @groenlinks vanuit het 🇪🇺Parlement op aan. Helaas stelt Nederland de belangen van dure testbedrijven boven de vrijheid van burgers in de @EUCouncil onderhandelingen.

We don’t lose time! The COVID-19 Certificate was adopted last week by the #EPlenary. Today we are starting negotiations with the @EU_Commission & @EUCouncil. The @EPPGroup wants to introduce it as quickly as possible and make travel possible again in a safe and responsible way!

The issues with PL and HU governments are of a political, not a legal nature. So a technocratic legal response will not solve the situation. A political response is required. As much as they try @EU_Commission @EUCouncil cannot escape taking a stance

Yesterday @Europarl_EN and @EUCouncil agreed on changes to securitisation, as a way to relieve capital and boost the economy.
As one of rapporteurs I am happy to see the agreement is solid and sustainable

.@EUCouncil wil een achterdeur inbouwen in end-to-end-encryptie, wat er nu voor zorgt dat niemand jouw berichten mee kan lezen op bv. Whatsapp. Achterdeur in encryptie= geen encryptie = geen privacy online. En ondermijning van EU als koploper op het gebied van data-privacy.

Of course the @EUCouncil should have a thorough process on the #ruleoflaw in #Hungary. So did the EP before it voted my #art7 procedure, but Council should keep in mind that the Treaty knows no hierarchy on which institution starts the process, EC op EP. 1/2
