Spoke with @klixba’s @MersadGusic last Friday. Absolute priority remains fair and free elections in 🇧🇦 in 2022. We will pick up on 🇪🇺role in January in EP.

But it’s a shame that even after🎄Orbáns toxic remarks regarding muslims have not been contradicted by any other EU-leader!

Very worrying news from Bosnia and Herzegovina today. Commissioner Varhelyi cannot permit himself any (new) hint or suggestion that he is serving other interests or agenda’s than the EU’s and the 🇧🇦 people’s. This is clearly not helpful at all! (1/2)

More good news today! @EP_Social just voted in favour of 🇪🇺rules that would ensure fair remuneration of ALL internships, whether or not it’s part of education. Commission @NicolasSchmitEU should follow suit with a proposal. #unpaidisunfair

It is high time to put a stop to bogus self-employment by platform companies.

The directive proposed by @NicolasSCHMIT today must ensure that platform workers receive the rights they deserve: fair wages and decent working conditions.

That's what @TheProgressives will fight for!

Good news Council has a position too now on the #MinimumWagesEU directive.

The @EU2021SI presidency managed to take this important step towards fair working conditions. Thanks ministers for the hard work so far!

- Access to fair working conditions through employment status.

The way is now clear for the European #minimumwage directive. The EP's legal service also has validated the legal basis chosen by the European Commission, after the Council's legal service. Vote on 25 October in EMPL if all goes well. #SocialEurope

Dutch court rules Uber drivers are employees, protected by collective agreement.

Another court ruling that proves we need EU legislation now. We must now ensure all platform workers get decent salaries, fair working hours & social security!

27 years after Amazon was founded, its leadership changes. Let's hope this change leads to better employee's rights, fair tax contributions and no more unfair market behaviour.

➡️Paul Hondius (@OECDtax) spoke about upcoming work on the risk crypto-assets pose for tax transparency. Also, high earners can increasingly move their income to low tax jurisdiction. It should receive our full attention in order to make sure the rich pay their fair share.
