When the rest of the world is fighting the pandemic, climate change or geopolitical challenges, the priority of the Polish government is a witch hunt against women and LGBTI people. #Speechless

+1Since India and SA called for a TRIPS waiver, one year ago, 3.5 million people have died from Covid- 19.

With @BasEickhout I call on the @eucommission and Council to stop blocking the #TRIPSWaiver at the WTO.

Donating vaccine doses is charity, acces to knowledge is justice.

These schemes attract the wrong people for the wrong reasons. There are serious corruption, tax evasion and money laundering risks.

Today, we can improve the lives of millions of workers in Europe.

For the people who work in shops, logistics, cleaning or agriculture, we can make the difference!

Fingers crossed the #EPlenary votes in favour of higher minimum wages in Europe now 🤞

We need to vaccinate the world.

Only 6% of people in Africa are fully vaccinated. The EU cannot accept that our twin continent is left behind. We must do more as EU to assist countries in getting vaccines to people.

Expanding production and distribution is key. My speech👇🏽

+1Proud to welcome the brave Sviatlana @Tsihanouskaya to the @Europarl_EN today. This house will continue to stand #WithBelarus, the people who stand up against the dictators, and will fight to hold #Lukashenko to account. We will never give in to blackmail by autocrats.

"The best way to discourage the instrumentalisation of people is a functioning asylum system. Biggest mistake would be to normalise pushbacks - that would mean that our commitment to the Refugee Convention doesn't stand this temporary test."

We need more guidance from the @EU_Commission, not only when it comes to travel, but also on booster vaccines. And let's be honest - the reason why we are in this situation is because there are still too many unvaccinated people. We need to break this fourth wave. #COVID19

.@BuggeErik from @KoblerContext points out how the microtargeted ad ecosystem makes SME's fall prey to dominant companies as FB and Google. And that due to lack of resources, SME's are more vulnerable to ad fraud in the current system.

Kim van Sparrentak (GroenLinks) Fri 19 Nov 2021, 11:04

.@BuggeErik Explains the frame that we hear over and over on targeted ads is "dead wrong".

Highlighting that believing that we can not give people relevant ads without violating their privacy shows a clear lack of imagination.

in reply to avatar

Kim van Sparrentak (GroenLinks) Fri 19 Nov 2021, 10:59

@ilya_bruggeman Here we have a huge misconception: a ban on microtargeting based on pervasive tracking does not mean you will never see relevant ads again. It simply means we move to innovative and less harmful models, such as contextual advertising.
