- why would he want to have free trade agreements with any country, if not with UK’s biggest trading partner?
- what have we been doing for the last four years?!

Had a good discussion with @AmChamEU on #EU-#US relations and Digital Trade. It is an important year with the upcoming US presidential election. We have to continue trying to solve outstanding trade issues and look for new areas of cooperation, such as #AI. 🇪🇺🇺🇸 @AlbertoZilio

Indeed. There is no trade off between quick release of recovery funds and rule of law conditionality. That is...if government leaders are sincere in their attachment to the rule of law...

Current negotiations reached stalemate. Time for paradigm shift by UK government. A comprehensive, fair agreement is in the best interest of both EU and UK citizens.

+1Chairing the committee Economy during the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary assembly. There was a good debate about trade agreements. It should make us all stronger and we should have more attention for civil society and human rights when working on these agreements.

@remkorteweg Agenda van handeldeals is juist gigantisch uitgebreid zonder goed maatschappelijk debat. CETA heet niet voor niets Comprehensive Economic and Trade Deal. Ik ben juist bang dat verdere verschuiving naar economische machten ipv democratische machten, de steun voor handel zal kosten

Until now @vonderleyen is very disappointing. Lowering the climate ambition compared to previous EP, vague on air quality and agriculture, trade could be different but not clear how and now evasive on economic governance. On top no comment on Selmayr....
