Current security policies and agreements must always be fully in line with @EUCourtPress case law. @EU_Commission is refusing to do that mostly, like in the #PNR agreements with 🇺🇸&🇦🇺. Parliament considers this a great omission/4

The implementation of existing security measures by national governments is pathetic, and @EU_Commission is doing not much against this. Instead, they only call for more and more measures impacting our rights, while not necessarily providing “more security”/3

The @EU_Commission must always make available quantitative evidence showing that the security measures are worth the impact on fundamental rights. No longer only anecdotal evidence./2

Too often the national governments and @EU_Commission are screaming blue murder that new EU security measures are needed, without clear evidence of effectiveness or respect for fundamental rights.

Gelukkig; noodmaatregelen aangenomen in het EP om het weg- en luchtvervoer tijdelijk te laten doorgaan in geval van een no-deal Brexit. Erg belangrijk voor de sector om te weten waar ze aan toe zijn. We hopen zo o.a. lange files aan de grens te voorkomen

As we voted on contingency measures today, the EP underlines the efforts to prevent a chaotic no-deal situation.
But it takes two to tango, especially on fisheries. Reciprocal access to both 🇪🇺 and 🇬🇧 waters is in the interest of all fishermen and fisherwomen across the Channel.

Great to have been able to discuss the #DSA and #DMA with @ThierryBreton this morning in the @EP_SingleMarket. The Commissions proposals to tackle the problems of big tech are a good first step, but EP will stay critical and will work together with the Commission to improve them.

@martijn_vroom De Brexit was een besluit van de Britten. Wij zijn voor goede afspraken over visserij in dit handelsakkoord. Die afspraken hadden er formeel zelfs al lang moeten zijn.

Wachten op 't appje van je baas, met een nul-urencontract moet je altijd klaarstaan. Je weet nooit wat je zal verdienen. En plannen maken in het weekend gaat niet.

Wij willen zekere contracten, met een Europees verbod op 0-urencontracten!
