Dit is niet waar Europa voor staat. We maken ons alleen geloofwaardig als we consequenties verbinden aan geweld tegen onze EU- burgers en volksvertegenwoordigers.

Een extra dimensie is dat veel politici die met geweld te maken hebben vrouw zijn. Er is sprake van veel onderliggend seksisme.

Orban duldt geen tegenspraak. Maar dit is wederom een nieuw dieptepunt. Mijn Hongaarse collega’s worden op een walgelijke wijze met de dood bedreigd. Dit wordt al veel te lang toegestaan door andere landen in de EU. Tijd om de stilte te doorbreken.

@BartNijman Maar zij moet er wel ‘chocola van gaan maken’ aldus Rutte. Eerst hoe die 540 miljard euro gefinancierd wordt. En dat dat bedrag moet uitgroeien naar 2000 miljard. Dus... ?!

We need to enable our DPA’s. Otherwise, we cannot expect real oversight of GDPR and the Digital Services Act.

Commissioner @Dombrovskis has my full support for an ambitious European recovery and reconstruction fund, to deal with the consequences of this crisis. However I did ask about the principle of a balanced budget - many questions still to be answered here.

Incredible: the Commission admits that Libya is not a place of safety for disembarkation, but it insists on continuing to enhance the Libyan Coastguard which de facto pulls back migrants to (detention centers in) Libya.
