In gesprek met Barnier. Westminster mag stilliggen, dit Parlement werkt door. Ik vroeg hem naar de no-deal voorbereidingen, hoe we concurrentie met het VK eerlijk houden voor producenten, boeren en ondernemers, en het gebruik van fondsen voor hardst getroffen regio’s en sectoren.

I really hope that “protecting the European Way of life” does not continue to look this bleak and, frankly, this un-European.
Europe needs a sensible and humane migration policy that shows the world what true European values look like.

Aanleiding voor de vragen is oa dit stuk over de radiostilte die EU-vaartuigen en -vliegtuigen handhaven bij schepen in nood.
Is dit hoe “protecting the European way of life” eruit moet zien?

Creating a portfolio “Protection of the European way of life” in response to “legitimate fears and concerns about the impact of irregular migration” is totally misguided and reprehensible. #VDL should withdraw it before the confidence vote in @Europarl_EN @RenewEurope

Dit komt uit de mission letter die @vonderleyen stuurde aan @MargSchinas Het framen van migratie als gevaar voor onze "Europese manier van leven" is voer voor scherpe vragen bij zijn hoorzitting. Bijvoorbeeld over hoe dit Europeanen met een migratie-achtergrond raakt.

@TimmermansEU wordt de nieuwe EU KlimaatTsaar. Na de Nederlandse klimaatwet maakt hij een EU versie. Onhaalbaar en onbetaalbaar. Deze tsaar komt met groene oekazes. De kosten zijn voor de hardwerkende middenklasse.
