Donetsk and Luhansk are integral parts of Ukraine. They are not Putin’s to ‘recognise’. Recognition would be a violation of international law and 🇺🇦 territorial integrity. If Russia recognizes, joint transatlantic sanctions should be imposed immediately. #UnitedWithUkraine

Context, in case you don't read French, or don't have a @libe subscription (which you should get, top paper): on February 3rd, an Irish judge cleared Hogan. He hadn't broken any Covid rules when participating in a charity dinner. But @vonderleyen had him resign for exactly that.

Her organisation conducted interviews with more than a 1000 poll workers after the 2018 elections, and found illegal vote-buying, intimidation and more. (1/2) 👇

@EU_Commission ➡ Triggering the Temporary Protection Directive should be on the table to ensure that immediate protection can be granted.
➡ In addition, the @EU_Commission has to prepare a relocation scheme so that responsibility for refugees can be equally shared among EU-countries. (2/2)

While right now all efforts should be focused on de-escalation, the EU also has to be prepared for the potential arrival of Ukrainian refugees.

Schandalig dat Noorwegen zonder overleg zomaar boomkor-#visserij weert. Dit heeft nogal gevolgen voor Nederlandse vissers. De Europese Commissie mag dit niet over haar kant laten gaan! Zojuist met collega’s schriftelijke vragen gesteld.
