This morning we met with @areyousyrious @CMSZagreb to discuss human rights violations at the Croatian and Bosnian border. Asylum seekers who try to reach the border have illegally been pushed back by the border police. Shocking to hear that 38% of these people are children.

It seems that @JosepBorrellF refuses to state whether vessels in the renewed Operation Sophia would save people in distress at sea. I would like to remind him that this is not a choice, but an obligation under international law.

I call upon the European Commission that - when the initiative for a fair minimum wage comes to the table - it will cover ALL workers and makes sure that discriminatory minimum wages for people with disabilities are prohibited in all member states.

Being able to work in another EU Member State should be possible for all, including people with disabilities! An EU Disability Card ensures that the status of people with disabilities is recognized in the whole Union. Time for an #inclusiveEurope.

@HelenaMaleno @walkingborders Helena faced charges in Morocco and Spain based on the allegation of promoting irregular immigration and human trafficking through her humanitarian work. Although the charges against Helena were dropped, harassment and intimidation is ongoing. (2/3)

Suspending Parliament is basically the suspension of democracy and the voice of the people. Nothing less than an anti-democratic power-grab. It makes the slogan “taking back control” sound quite sinister. #Brexit

@gjbrand @SophieintVeld @EPSocialAffairs @ARDIEuroParl The Finnish ministers underlined the importance of tackling racism. Unfortunately, they did not yet come with concrete plans. But they will. With regard to young people, they wanted to continue supporting national initiatives to promote youth employment.
