Recently, scientists in Germany were forced to create fear in order to push through measures.

There will be a point the people don’t accept this anymore.

Proud to be from the Benelux. Finally Member States are now speaking out explicitly. Developments in Hungary are threatening the European Union more than Greece 10 years ago, and countries like Germany were not holding back by then at all.

+1Today @Europarl_EN discussed the painful and humiliating appearance of @JosepBorrellF in Russia last week. Prior to his visit, over 50 colleagues and I warned him that visiting Russia at this time sends the wrong signal and would be misused for internal propaganda purposes.

@DeutschJill @TBspekschoor True. But Commission explicitly denies. Who to believe? Probably Germany was active (and wanted to show that to the national audience), but in the end this resulted in the additional extra EU purchase, so factually there is no parallel contract.

Interesting thread&report. Dutch are turning more to Europe (France-Germany) instead of US (NL is historically one of the most transatlantic countries in EU). No real differences in which country is more of a threat (US, China, Russia) on average; larger per party-affiliation.

German Constitutional Court offers interpretation German constitution; not of EU law. Germany is a member state; not a EU-province you wanted it to be - and a cash cow for others. A country has the right to protect its taxpayers.
