Digital and Green transition's dependence on rare materials mentioned in #SOTEU is indeed an issue.
But partnerships, reserves and funds alone will not decrease Europe's dependence. Only ambitious and mandatory circularity will protect our planet, digital economy and autonomy.

I am very worried about the #EU Digital Identity. Governments and companies receive access to more personal details than they currently have a right to. There is a real risk this will lead to the exclusion of citizens, just like during #COVID19. We cannot allow this to happen!

Ik maak me grote zorgen om de #EU Digital Identity. Overheden en bedrijven krijgen toegang tot meer persoonlijke gegevens dan waar ze nu recht op hebben. Het risico op het uitsluiten van burgers - zoals bij het #coronapaspoort - is aanzienlijk. Dit mogen we niet laten gebeuren!

Legale content, die mogelijk wel schadelijk is, valt daarbuiten. Het staat platforms wel vrij zelf voorwaarden op te stellen. Daar moeten ze zich dan consistent aan houden. Geen voorkeursbehandelingen.

Last week’s agreement on the Digital Markets Act entailed a ban on targeting minors and using sensitive data for advertising purposes in the Digital Services Act. A huge step towards #TrackingFreeAds!

This Russian owned yacht named "Ragnar", was ransacked by the Norwegian Coast Guard, Police and Customs earlier today.
It's owned by former KGB officier Vladimir Strzhalkovsky ; who is an old friend of Vladimir Putin.
