The #MinimumWagesEU Directive came about with support from the @EUCouncil @EU_Commission & @Europarl_EN legal services. Extensive legal checks were carried out during the process.
So, I am very curious to hear Denmark's arguments to test this Directive.

Europe is in a #CostOfLivingCrisis. So, Member States should rapidly enact the #MinimumWagesEU Directive!
Any Member State is free to go to the #CJEU, but it should not lead to a delay of the implementation.
People simply cannot afford to wait!

Today, after many years of blockage, @Europarl_EN & @EUCouncil @CZECHIAinEU found a renewed agreement on the Reception Conditions Directive!
This law ensures a humane reception of asylum seekers and will help Member States to manage this in line with our common EU values.

Spying on citizens for political gains is a crime. Let’s be clear about who the perpetrators are: national governments.
This compromises the @EUCouncil that they sit on. We cannot rely on this institution to protect citizens. It is up to the @EU_Commission and @Europarl_EN now.

National traditions are respected.
For Member States where wage formation is exclusively done via collective agreements, there’s no obligation in this Directive to introduce a statutory minimum wage.
Additional safeguards for well-functioning CB systems are put in place.

One exemption to the EU ban is positive: food can always be shipped. Because it is not the EU that is engineering a global food crisis. It is Russia that’s doing so with its irresponsible Black Sea blockade that prevents 🇺🇦 from feeding the world.

“ban[…] any Russian-flagged, -registered, -owned, -chartered or -operated vessels, or any otherwise Russian-linked maritime vessels, from docking in EU ports”.

The Russian financial elite should not be able to circumvent sanctions by using EU trust companies. Very positive that the Dutch @Minister_FIN is reportedly pushing the @EUCouncil to get tough on trust companies working for wealthy Russians. Member States should act quickly.
