In today’s #EuropeanIdeasLab panel on #RuleOfLaw in Poland I spoke about how @EU_Commission &MS have looked away so long that backsliding has cemented. All fundamentals are dismantled: independent judiciary, media freedom, civic space, rights of women, LGBTIQs, refugees etc 1/2

Due to the #EU's "green" policies, owning a car will be unaffordable to millions of Europeans.

This is part of a bigger trend: private ownership is limited & freedom is taken away from people.

If this reckless execution of #MoshenShekari, protesting for freedom, is not sanctioned, more executions will follow. Respond adequately to this terror regime: step up sanctions and isolate Khamenei, IRGC, and all their enablers. Iranian people need our support, not only words.

It's great news that the Commission has presented new rules on the recognition of parenthood today. 🌈

Freedom of movement currently does not apply to children of same-sex parents. The legislation proposed to close this gap is therefore badly needed.

I notice that in the EU we are moving from several options to one framework for public and private enterprises. Hereby undermining freedom and competition. Do you agree?
