Grâce à une forte coopération avec la rapporteure du texte @kimvsparrentak et ma collègue @estrella_dura, est soumis au vote un rapport progressiste et ambitieux, qui considère que :
✅le logement est un droit fondamental
✅le logement décent abordable doit s’adresser à tous

We had a fruitful discussion today in the @EP_Taxation hearing. Thank you @SenatoreMonti @MartijnNouwen @LizaGormsen @IrmaMosqueraV for joining. What became the buzzword is exactly what we need: a more 'aggressive' approach. Lots of new ideas to digest!

Overigens hebben de lidstaten slechts 2/3 van het benodigde budget toegewezen aan de nieuwe Europees aanklager. Deze Laura Kövesi moet het met 38 miljoen doen, waar ons maffiamaatje Recordare een creditcard van 2 miljard (!) heeft.

Dit soort lui is waarom we nu een Europees Openbaar aanklager hebben. Dit is ook waarom we haast moeten maken met een Europese aanpak van witwassen én een einde aan gouden paspoort. Misdaad is allang grensoverschrijdend. Basta!

Zojuist in de Transportcommissie gestemd over het Europees Jaar van het Spoor 2021. Reizen met de trein is duurzaam, veilig en houdt de regio goed bereikbaar. Nu samen aan de slag om het spoor nog aantrekkelijker te maken.

Frontex comments the EU Ombudsman‘s inquiry on the complaint mechanism, and I agree. But it is worrying that we depend on the decision of the EU Ombudsman to do this. Frontex should have an effectively functioning Fundamental Rights system.

During the Frontex hearing on pushbacks, the director insists that it may intercept vessels and direct them to another country. He fails to mention that first an individual assessment must be made to check if that third country is safe. A return without such check is a pushback
