A small country like The Netherlands has had to learn to produce more with less. @WUR estimates that even in NL it is possible to lower our environmental impact further and increase production!! EU policies should encourage this & the exchange of best practices

@MarksSimon In order to secure food production in poorer regions, we as the EU should help with our knowledge and experience in food production. Both technological and ecological innovation can help. F.e. breeding plant varieties that can grow in those circumstances. #FoodSustainability

@MarksSimon @Marji84 In poorer regions it's getting more difficult to produce food, largely because of climate change. This is an important cause of migration & it should be a priority to the EU to help these regions address this and develop self sufficient food systems. #foodsustainability

@EMK2017 @KIMONLBE @groenlinksEU Eens. Daarom ook het rotte fruit aanpakken en juist de goede belonen (wij stellen voor om kortingen te geven op de voorgestelde toeslag, zodat plastic gescheiden behandeld kan worden en de goede partijen hiervan profiteren)

Instead the money should be used to help farmers get a better price for their products, to improve sustainablity, food quality and innovation #FoodSustainability

I believe the CAP should be more result driven on these issues. Specifically, we should focus more on innovation! #foodsustainability

Honderden vissers hielden zaterdag een indrukwekkende betoging in Amsterdam. Ik deel de bezwaren van @EMK2017 tegen de EU-plicht om ondermaatse vis aan land te brengen + verbod op energiezuinige pulstechniek + windmolens in visgebieden! Vissers moeten kunnen blijven vissen!
