We hebben Bosnië-Herzegovina 26 jaar geleden een democratische toekomst beloofd.

Het wordt tijd dat we die belofte gaan inwilligen met meer perspectief op toetreding tot de EU, om het land zo daadwerkelijk de stap te laten maken van Dayton naar Brussel. ⏹(4/4)

Van vrijwel iedereen hoorde ik dat met Dodik niet te praten valt. Zolang hij geen serieuze tegenstand krijgt maar in plaats daarvan bij de internationale gemeenschap om tafel zit, zal zijn koers niet wijzigen.

EU-sancties zijn daarom hard nodig. (3/4)

Het werd me nog duidelijker hoe gevaarlijk deze crisis is. Er leeft onder de bevolking een enorme angst dat het land teruggestort wordt in een gewelddadig conflict.

Men lieten weten dat EU- steun hard nodig is om van B-H een democratisch en geïntegreerd land te maken. (2/4)

Afgelopen weekend bezocht ik Bosnië-Herzegovina nav de politieke crisis veroorzaakt door de afscheidingsplannen van Dodik, leider Servische nationalisten. Ik sprak activisten, oppositiepolitici en EU-ambassadeurs.

De miljoenen uit Brussel ter compensatie van de geleden waterschade moeten helemaal in Limburg terechtkomen! Meer dan eens heb ik gevraagd waar ze het geld voor willen inzetten. Maar steeds geen antwoord gekregen van het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken.

Member States need to come up with an action plan to strengthen collective bargaining when they do not reach this."

It is no threat to the Finnish model, as we are not forced to introduce a statutory minimum wage."

I am from Ireland myself. This Directive must serve as a shield, from any negative infringement on collective bargaining which we have seen in the previous crisis in my country.
That is a big gain for workers! We need the Parliaments report to be fully backed!"

Blij met deze oproep en de gezamenlijke politieke druk uit het Europees Parlement👇: zolang de Poolse regering de onafhankelijke rechtspraak in eigen land blijft ondermijnen, is het ondenkbaar dat het geld krijgt uit het Europees herstelfonds.

30 states in the US have a minimum wage above the Federal minimum wage. We support the fight for 15 dollars."

Nederland loopt graag voorop. Voert lijstjes aan. Ook met belastingmisbruik. Nu vormt zij met landen als 🇬🇧 🇱🇺 🇨🇭 de as die jaarlijks verantwoordelijk is voor $500mld aan belastingontwijking. Tijd dat NL van dat podium afstapt. #aanvoerder #NLout #micdrop

As long as we keep on framing refugees as a danger, we are surrendering to cynical regimes like Russia who can further undermine Europe's credibility. You can be angry on Russia; but you can better change your own rhetorics. And actions.

A colleague used misinformation during the debate on the gender pay gap. It is our political responsibility to have a debate based on facts.

The gender pay gap is institutionalized with historical roots. So let’s stick to the facts and ensure equal pay for equal work. 💯💰
