WHY is highest judge of European Court of Human Rights meeting with Pres. Erdogan?

🇹🇷 has most cases in front of @ECHR_CEDH and thousands of people expect to have impartial hearing at judge Spano’s court.

This visit has politicized ECtHR & greatly damaged its reputation.

There are about 50people detained and 10 missing. It's hard to collect thoughts.The 24-hour courts are already running-huge thanks to big team of pro bono lawyers who defend detainees. People are gathering under police stations. At evening solidarity evening. #Margot #solidarity

Make no mistake; many Europeans have reason to protest indignity at home. Institutionalised racism, and excessive police violence against people from minorities are not alien to Europe. There are however reasons for a political response by Europe.

Een Europese deeltijd-WW zal helpen om mensen aan het werk te houden. Dat is hard nodig!
