The #EU should not abuse the terrible situation in #Ukraine to introduce a permanent, mandatory relocation scheme for refugees.

Instead, the EU should stop bashing #Poland and start supporting it. Poland deserves no scold, but praise!

Broad majority today for a tough EP stance on rule-of-law inside the European Union. The war in Ukraine, and the laudable humanitarian assistance provided in Poland, should neither be an excuse for inactivity or division. Rather, Russian autocracy should be a warning to us all.

If this is true, the other Member States should show that such discrimination is unacceptable to them, and simply activate the TPD. Refugees in Ukraine are obviously in the same need of protection. And remember, Poland doesn’t have a right to veto.
