Mooi, een van zijn laatste berichten als minister @MiRo_SPD 🙏🏼 Erg belangrijk dat 🇪🇺 lidstaten verloren geloofwaardigheid door gebroken beloften herwinnen. Start onderhandelingen, nu, met deze landen 🇦🇱🇲🇰 is van groot belang voor de hele Westelijke Balkan en dus voor ons.

Overnight first real draft conclusions have been published: the draft conclusions under the Paris Agreement are here: unfccc.int/sites/default/… Mitigation section has quite some good language on acceleration of Paris review mechanism. On finance, it is quite weak. Last days start.

Conferentie over de toekomst van Europa werkgroep klimaat is van start. Klimaatverandering is een zeer urgent onderwerp dat iedereen raakt. Het is een vraagstuk dat we alleen samen kunnen oplossen. De frisse blik van alle Europeanen kunnen we daar goed bij gebruiken.

@wimjmvoermans Wetenschap in de volle breedte is voor velen een proces geworden dat men afloopt. Start: de “opendeur-hypothese” en daarna statische flauwekul om e.e.a. te onderbouwen. Objectieve wetenschap ligt meer voor de hand bij bètawetenschappen. Het Recht is retoriek en van de sterkste.

Heel goed dat @dijkvangijs met een initiatiefvoorstel komt om armoede onder kinderen aan te pakken.

In Porto hebben regeringsleiders beloofd om armoede voor 2030 te halveren: ook onder kinderen! Want elk kind verdient een goede start in het leven.

A paper reality doesn’t protect people- high time for the EU to ensure that autocratic regimes start to respect democratic rights.

It should be simple: no access to EU-budget if rule of law is violated. The law to enforce is in place, now the @EU_Commission should finally act.

Vandaag gaat het Europees Openbaar Ministerie (EOM) van start!

Het EOM gaat onderzoek doen naar fraude en corruptie met EU-geld en kan dat vervolgen. Dat was op Europees niveau niet eerder mogelijk.
